“The root of all health is in the brain. The trunk of it is in emotion. The branches and leaves are the body. The flower of health blooms when all parts work together.”
– Kurdish folk wisdom

5341900This week is National Massage Therapy Awareness Week! The purpose of this week is to inform us of all of the wonderful benefits of all types of massage therapy, and how it can help us in our daily lives, in ways that we didn’t even know about.

We all know that when we start to feel a headache coming on, incur a sports injury, or have chronic muscle pain, that it’s time to call our massage therapist and get a tune up. What we DON’T all know, is that a massage therapist’s job doesn’t stop there! Massage can also help with medical conditions including, but not limited to lymphedema, digestive disorders, fibromyalgia, anxiety, and depression. Many healthcare providers are beginning to suggest massage therapy as a treatment in conjunction with their patients’ existing healthcare plans.

Now that you know, help us spread the word!

If you’re curious as to how massage therapy can help you or someone you know, email us or schedule an appointment now.

Thanks for visiting! We at Koru wish you wellness.
