That is because, here at Koru, we are firm believers in holistic wellness, and endorphins play a huge part in that. Endorphins are amazing little brain chemicals, known as neurotransmitters, which send signals within the nervous system. They have been shown to reduce our feelings of pain and stress, and lead to modulation of appetite, enhancement of immune response, and feelings of euphoria.
As we continue through March, and on with our theme of bringing more happiness into our lives, we are going to tell you how to release this natural, in-house wonder drug whenever you feel like you need a mood boost.

Endorphins are released during any activity that stimulates blood and fluid flow, such as physical exercise and massage therapy. That’s it. Really! So the next time you find yourself a little down in the dumps, go for a run, do some yoga, or pay a visit to your favorite massage therapist. These activities will keep you healthy AND happy.

And remember, you can’t buy happiness… But you can buy a massage, and when you think about it, isn’t that kind of the same thing?
